Braemar Highland Gathering - The Princess Royal Duke of Fife Memorial Park, Braemar
The first gathering in Braemar was nine hundred years ago making it the longest running gathering. The event is very popular and tickets need to be booked in advance. Attractions include heavy and track events, piping and highland dancing. The patron of the gathering is Her Majesty the Queen.

The Worldwide recognition of the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh has encourages the escalation of similar events throughout Scotland, although many are on a much smaller scale.
