Flambeaux Procession - Town Centre Comrie
On Hogmanay people gather in the town square where on the last stroke of midnight the Flambeaux - huge fire torches on 8-10ft poles - are lit. The torch bearers, led by pipers then tour the village before returning to the square to throw their torches into a huge pile

The Worldwide recognition of the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh has encourages the escalation of similar events throughout Scotland, although many are on a much smaller scale.
