    Muirfield Golf Course
Muirfield
The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers is the oldest golf club in the world with continuous records from 1744. They began in Leith Links, in Edinburgh, moved out to Musselburgh when the Links became too congested and then to their present home at Muirfield. Often voted in the top five courses in the world and some say it is number 1. Muirfield isn't your typical links which pleases well travelled Americans but its defence lies in the bunkers and rough.
Distance: 6601yards
Par: 70

    Musselburgh Golf CourseMusselburgh Golf Course
Musselburgh Golf Course offers a demanding parkland course which nestles in a loop formed by the River Esk, overlooked by the historic village of Inveresk and its hill-top church. This is a well laid out parkland with wide, generous fairways to air your driver which you will need to play well and crossing a burn at several points. Set in an expansive 145 acres, it has generous, tree-lined fairways, large undulating greens, multiple tees and is lavishly bunkered.

Longniddry Golf ClubLongniddry Golf Club
This mixed parkland and links course presents itself in two distinct halves; the front being tighter and more enclosed than the second half which is open and prey to the many winds that patrol this estuary. The course is not long by modern standards, but is designed to reward the strategic player. There are many good holes at Longniddry, both as a test of golf and of natural beauty.

Dunbar Golf ClubDunbar Golf Club
One of the best on the East Lothian coast. After an easy Par 5 1st, it is clear that the seaside holes, 4th to 17th give the course its flavour. Accuracy is the key with out of bounds being a possibility on ten of the holes. A traditional links course along a narrow strip of land bounded by a wall on one side and the seashore on the other, Supposedly this was where Cromwell's troops were encamped before the battle of Dunbar in 1603. This course will be used as a qualifying venue for the 2002 Open Championships.
